Thiebaud effortlessly drew these amazing representations of food that is so easy to learn how to do. In my works of art I wanted to capture every spot of the food I was drawing. To create these works of art we used oil pastels that mix and combine very well with other colors of the pastels. Over this unit I learned how to better mix oil pastels and I learned how to create food from a drawing perspective.

During this unit we created our own masterpiece to recreate by drawing. Some techniques we used were using a ruler to find the distance between surrounding object and the edge of the paper. This unit really taught me how to use only my eye to create everyday object, and how to use what's around the objects in reference to the objects around the others. Although I enjoyed this unit I do believe that we weren't 100 percent prepared for it because we kind of just jumped right into it. I know that we have been drawing all years far, but we have never had to draw everyday objects, and I believe if we had more practice to understand how to draw objects I would have enjoyed this project much more than I did. |
